Meet The Team

Clare Walker - Chameleon Education and Wellbeing Services Director, Specialist Teacher

Chameleon Education and Wellbeing Services Ltd was founded by myself in October 2019. As an Education Professional, I have had the priviledge to work as part of many diverse teams, in both mainstream, SEN and PRU settings as a Teacher, SEN specialist and SENCo. My passion for understanding the whole child, providing a holistic, multi disciplinary approach to education for children, inspired and motivated me to establish Chameleon, with a desire to make a difference to as many childrens education and wellbeing as possible, particularly those who face significant barriers to accessing their education provision.

Emma Hurst - Primary Teacher

Originally from Northern Ireland, I moved to Colchester to study Psychology at Essex, graduating in 2014 and completing my teacher training the following year. I have experience across Key Stage One and Two and I enjoy the challenges and rewards within all year groups. Throughout my studies and teaching career, I have developed a keen interest in behaviour and learning which continues to be a focus for me. I am passionate to ensure that all children develop their self-confidence and learn to trust themselves and their ideas. I aim to provide a safe and secure environment where children feel comfortable to challenge themselves and take risks with their learning, which in turn enables their confidence and self-belief to grow.

Hannah Smith - Primary Teacher

Since starting my teaching career 10 years ago, I have continuously worked hard to ensure that all young people in my care are able to make progress both academically and socially. I have worked across Key Stages One and Two and have a specific interest in reading development. In both my classroom and tutoring, I strive to create a fun learning environment where children can take the lead and drive their learning forwards at their own pace. Children should love learning!

Rebecca Jepson -  Founder of Little Life Development, Paediatric Occupational Therapist (OT)

I have practised in a diverse range of settings and with varying client groups, having particular expertise in neuroscicence and sensory processing.  In January 2018 I founded Little Life Development. I am passionate about ensuring children, their caregivers and education professionals understand how sensory needs can impact on behaviour and learning. I bring the therapuetic element to Forest Explorers by using the core OT skill of activity analysis to ensure the children experience the "just right challenge".  I am Eco Sensory Therapy trained and I am in awe of how nature can benefit overall well being and development.
